Mpeg2 Vs. Mpeg4

Just re-sub'ed to HD DirecTV after a 3 year hiatus (TWC, blah). Does any one know of or have a list showing what channels are mpeg2 vs mpeg4? Channel numbers would be great. One more question, why are there multiple tiers of channels? (example) HD Theater on 76 and 281. I'm in NY. Thanks!

Those are just mirrors. When all HD is converted to MPEG 4 the channels in the 70s will go Bye bye.
