I have a question for the experts on the board.

A few weeks ago, I was having trouble with HD signals, and the tech determined that I had a bad WB68. He installed a new one, but did something that I don't understand.

The setup is that there are 4 cables running from the WB68. 2 to LR (HD), 1 Basement & 1 Attic (Master BR). Of the 4 wires coming from the Dish, he connected only 2 to the WB68 and the other two he connected the the feeds to the LR (HD), bypassing the WB68.

I don't want to mess with anything that is working, but should I re-wire and connect them through the WB68 or not.

All 4 lines from the dish need to be connected to the WB68. Then the lines to all the rooms from the WB68.

I'm guessing the bedroom and basement recievers are just SD?

If you only have 4 feeds in the house, you can bypass the WB68 completely, it's not needed.

If it was me I'd rewire it just to be ready for more receivers. Also, it's a more "kosher" and understandable setup.

Yes this is the case right now, just won't be in the future. I noticed it when I was looking to see what it would take to run a 5th line up to the MB.
