View Full Version : HD Locals
I know there's been lots of discussion about the haves and have nots as far as HD locals are concerned. I'm still wondering if there is any madness to the DTV plan as to who gets HD locals? Is it based on TV market, population, money, politics, etc? I've even heard that when it's all said and done not all locals will ever been in HD while some regions will have locals plus the dozens of other local market/independent stations in HD. Some of this doesn't seem fair. Glad I've got my Walmart rabbit ears. Looks like zip 23464 might be awhile. The locals here basically blame DTV.

It's likely based on a combination of all of those things. Plus things like contract negotiations with each local station. And the technical issues of spot beam coverage and capacity for every city. Now that D11 is on it's way to 99-deg W, more capacity should be available in a few weeks!

Zip 43947 will get locals in SD be soon after we have mass produced flying cars and HD Locals as soon as I'm ready to move the the new colony on Mars. Why? Because 43947 is BFE
At least I've been given SD DNS for all networks + HD DNS for ABC & FOX.
CBS/NBC DNS HD well a guy can hope.
