That was the opinion of a some stock guy on Fox News last night...... Murdoch will end up with Echostar and Directv will go to SBC......

A good possibility. What changes would we expect as a result?

Yeah but just before Murdoch finally gets control of E* again and is about to reclaim his old 110 slot back... Charlie will make some deal and end up with control again.

God, I have Dish and I DO NOT want Murdoch to get it! I would take SBC! Don't like his politics and I do love HDTV! Hope you're right Mike.

I still think that Murdoch will end up with Directv....at least that is what I hope...I really dont see Charlie give up his control.....Im hoping its NOT SBC that gets Directv....

At least Cablevision is not going to give up yet and launch their service.

If murdoch gets DISH, the 921 will surely be shelved...

The very concept that Murdoch and Ergen would even talk seriously about such a deal (after the recent unpleasantness of their first try), makes about as much sense as the drivel that comes from Fox "News".
Of what possible interest are the "politics" of the chairman of the board of a company? Exactly what are the "politics" of the CEO of your electric company? your grocer? your kid's school bus driver? your mail man? the chief knob turner at the water works?
And more importantly, how does any of these people's "politics" affect their delivery of other people's work products to you?

Maybe the 921 being shelved would be a good thing because perhaps a better and cheaper pvr unit would come out or maybe they will just use Tivo. I doubt there would be a change in ownership before the 921 comes out anyways.
