MPEG-2 channels 87 and 89 are now showing up grey in my guide? Anyone know why? My HR20 is telling me I dont have authorization to record on those two channels either but it will record fine everywhere else. Im recording on the MPEG-2s because the Slimline I had died and I am waiting on my new one from Solid Signal to arrive so its running on the old 3 LNB I never took down. Move this where it needs to go mods if here isnt the right spot.
And yes I already did a menu reset, no help. Thoughts?

It is probably because they are starting the migration.
The MPEG-2 versions officially completely shutoff next week.
And they are starting by disabling the channels for those on MPEG-4 compatible equipment.

I used to get 81 and 89, 81 is still there but 89 is gone. The MPEG-4 versions are fine.

I'm hoping your new Slimline shows up very soon.

Me too. Ordered last week so hopefully I find a shiny new box sitting on my porch when I get home today.

They moved to channels 397 and 399. I think those are the right channels. Check it out.

Yes, just went to the TV and verified it. About a month ago or so, I received a notice on my "recorded" ABC program that this channel (87) was moving go 397. FOX moved from 89 to 399. At that time, I changed all my season passes and started recording from those channels. No problem. Hope this helps.

Watching vs recording is not the issue, you will just have to wait until you get your new Slimline and use the MPEG4 versions on 397 and 399

I thought the MPEG-4s were on 7 and 11?

Sorry, I forgot you are local. I get them as DNS so I have to go to the 300s. In my case I get CBS and Fox so I had to switch from 81 and 89 to 391 and 399
