Death of my Beloved 721 - HELP !

After 5 years of faithful service my 721 has died :( . E* only said sorry, we can't help. Is anyone aware of I can obtain service (the hard drive died) so that I'm not forced to lease a receiver?

What does the 721 do? Does it boot at all or what?

You can try:

1. Unplug the 721.
2. Open the case and unplug the hard drive power and/or IDE cable. (be careful it is cheap cable)
3. Plug 721 back in and let it boot to Limp Mode Screen.
4. Unplug 721.
5. Hook back up the hard drive power and/ or IDE cable.
6. Put the case back on.
7. Plug the 721 back up and let it boot back up.
8. It should goto Software Installation Screen 1 and then 2.
9. It will tell you to reboot when done.
