Okay, this is very frustrating. I have a client with several sports bars. He recently had to replace some older receivers that died. They were replaced with H20 units.

He cannot watch 11-1 for any length of time without it dropping out. I have watched it and the screen goes blank with a "searching for OTA signal" message. I watch the OTA signal strength for that channel and I can see it drop to 0 from and average of 93, and then return. This is happening at all locations and I brought a receiver home to try it on my system and it happens here as well.

This does not occur with any of the older receivers in place. And it does not occur with any other HD OTA channels. I have tried bypassing the antenna amp and splitter. The receivers have been reset several times, nothing I try cures this problem

Does anyone have any ideas on this or is the OTA tuner in the H20 just junk?

Other than resetting the OTA and re-scanning for channels, I'd get 'em replaced. And since he's a business, emphasize the problem and maybe they'll ship overnight?

Replaced with what? This is 4 separate H20 receivers that are all doing the same thing at different locations. The new receiver is H21 that does NOT have an OTA tuner.

FWIW, I have had problems with channel 11-1 from day one. video and audio dropouts, both OTA and the mpeg4 sat locals. Closed captioning on the sat local works on local news broadcast, but doesn't on CBS network shows. Go figure. For some reason, channel 11 has problems, and it's the same using TV OTA, or DirecTV receivers, including H21, H20, and HR20.

What is the actual frequency for channel 11 in that area.

The channel is 31, but I can't find anything that tells me the actual frequency.

What receiver are you using? They have older units, LG LSS-3200, in one location. 3 of those died and were replaced with H20. It's the H20 units that are having problems, no problems with the older LG units.

ATSC (DT) CH 31 = 572-578 mhz.

I have H20-600 and HR20-100 with OTA, and H21-200 without OTA. All experience probs with channel 11 mpeg4 sat local.

Thanks. Obviously I wasn't looking hard enough

H20 units. That seems to be the common denominator in everything I've read.

I have H20-600 and HR20-100 with OTA, and H21-200 without OTA. All experience probs with channel 11 mpeg4 sat local.

I too have an H20 in Houston with a WineGuard antenna using the OTA port and have not had any issues. Have you verified the antenna? Also, are you using any splitters to split the OTA signal? If so have you tried a straight run?

A splitter and RF amp are being used, and yes, I did try bypassing everything. No change. And it is happening at three different locations.

I have not been back out to "verify" the antenna.

Again, it does not happen with the older receivers, just the H20.

I have had an H20-600 for about 1 1/2 years and have not had any problems with 11-1 OTA. I have recently been having problems with 13 HD from the satellite on this unit and on my H21

+1 here. My H20-600 hasn't had any problems with 11-1 (or any others for that matter) since I hooked it up 6 months ago or so.
