I've seen one situation that appears to cause the 721 to crash every time. It's when you have two simultaneous timers set, that both end at the same time, and then two new simultaneous timers starting at also that same moment. For example:
- 2 timers from 7:00-8:00pm (no additional minutes)
- 2 timers from 8:00-9:00pm (no additional minutes)
I've done this a few times, and will usually be watching a previously recorded PVR event at the time. At almost exactly 8:00pm, the 721 will crash. The last time I tried this, the previously recorded PVR event I was watching at the time just froze and stopped, then a few seconds later the unit rebooted itself.
The two 8pm timers both caught the first few seconds of the 8:00pm timers (after rebooting, the PVR list showed 14 sec for one of them, 16 sec for the other before the crash. But when you played those segments, it really was only about 5 sec of real recording time for both of them).
This seems to me a very repeatable (and therefore fixable) bug. It's happened to me both of the last two times I've tried it.
