How come on certain threads is there a different look than on the regular posts? I have seen this in two threads so far of many I have went to. It is the look in which is optional to be viewed in all the time when changed in the user cp.

Jacob I am willing to bet that the look is different when you read any of our satellite radio forums.

This is because our satellite radio area is now a seperate forum of its own. (Actually it has been for quite awhile but the color scheme we used matched the DBSTalk default look)

Because we are working to increase traffic to our satellite area we have updated it with a new look, reorganized and eliminated some of the forum areas.

We are not done with updating things on the satellite radio side, more changes will be made in the next few weeks.

I am happy to see the satellite area growing as most of the staff now has and is enjoying satellite radio. :)

Any of you non Satellite Radio subscribers.......

Come on in, the water's fine. This technology is the biggest thing to rock my world since I first got my PVR in 2000.

It WILL change the way you listen to music.

When I listen to my XM Radio, I am reminded of the time when I first started watching MTV in 1981 when I was 15. Artists I had never heard of (mostly from Europe) opened up a whole new world of possibilities compared to the blah Top 40 or Rock music being force fed to me on my local radio stations. Electronica, Dance, Rap, R & B, Classic Rock, Classic Soul, Latin Music, Movie Soundtrack Orchestral Music, Country, Bluegrass, New Age, Classical, Top 40, International Top 40 (U-POP, I believe this is the best way to describe it), Frank's Place (a Sinatra Channel), you name it they've got it.

EVERY musical genre, comedy standup routines, Live audio feeds of CNBC, FoxNews, CNN, CNN Headline News, ABC Talk Radio, NASCAR, Radio Disney, etc.

The only time I listen to regular radio now is to go to AM1010 WINS for the occassional traffic report. THAT'S IT.

From what I hear, XM is the place to go if you like more musical diversity (ie. fresher music you haven't heard before), while Sirius tends to be more hits based.

I bet its great for those in semi-tractor trailors or people that are on the road a lot. Some here have a good distance to drive to work and back and being in traffic will not be so bad with one of those. I think the fact that there are things that this service offers that a traditional radio does not that is what helps this service along with no commercials.
