Once you get it installed and run it the first time make sure you update the reference file. It has a button in the program now and does it all automaticly.

I like the new Adaware. I think I'm going to start using the Ad-Watch Monitor, just another tool in my quest to block every ad possible. while the user interfface isn't as simple as the old Adaware, I still like it :)

Anyone use it with Kaaza? I used older version on an PC I don't have any more. It seemed like there was one ad you had to leave on your PC to keep Kaaza running. I would like to try version 6 now.

Get rid of Kazaa and use Kazaa lite. I installed Ad-aware 6 on my daughters laptop. It found over 100 ads, spyware, and programs which I deleted. She had a lot of spyware and programs that would automatically install and open other (mostly porn) web sites. I highly recommend this program.

I like the new version and the fact that they're updating the reference file more often. I check for a new one every time I run it and get updates at least a couple of times a week.

It didn't seem to cause a problem or even detect any part of my kazaa lite, cracked K-Lite 2, K++ version (unlimited "search more" and some other things).

It actually didn't find anything more than the normal couple of cookies (the ones that AREN'T suppose to be saved due to my settings) and the ad folder in eudora. I had used spybot and the old ad-aware from time to time though.

I was doing some cleaning on someone's computer and AdAware 5.83 Plus found over 160 files. I'm going to run AAW 6 Pro on that computer and see how many more files it finds

Even better use a site like WinMx.com and download WinMX. It is a file sharing program that I've never heard mentioned, yet it has a LOT of users. It puts NO spyware on your computer (Kazaa loaded about 6 plugins and modified my browser best as I could tell). It provides an unlimited number of results (I got 3000 hits when I entered the word "remix").

Also, the RIAA's thugs are targeting users of Kazaa (witness their attempt to get Verizon to give them the name of the user who had about 1000 albums on his computer). Kazaa is the new Napster in that the RIAA and Co., are targeting them for harassment.
