Okay, are we going to be "treated" to a thread for every day on what HD games are NOT available on DirecTV?

Please don't clutter this forum up with that stuff. Nobody ever said you would get every HD game in the universe.

Yes, in hindsight, I should have compiled these in one post. I apologize to all for wasting precious bits and bytes.
And, no, this will not be a daily examination of what we get.
And also, no, I don't expect every game in HD.
So, my humblest apologies to all for ruining an otherwise good day.

Having said that, I find it quite amusing to look back over the winter and see quite a few threads, with hundreds and hundreds of posts, speculating about what we might or might not get this year.

Yet, now that D* has listed the first week's EI schedule, it seems it's not OK to examine what we actually do and don't get.

For $219, I don't think it's unfair to question D*'s offering. Also, I'd rather have a fair expectation of their plan's for this year, than to be disappointed when a certain game does not appear.

Wouldn't you rather know now if we will or will not get Padres and Phillies home games in HD? Or how about Yankee My9 games? I'd rather know now.

Thanks for listening.

cmasia, It's ok to exmanine what D* is doing, but I think it might be better to wait at least until 24hrs. in advance minimum, or even game day. And really lets see how the first week goes.

Last year I can remember maybe six or so MY9 Yankee HD games last year, and I think they might have been all on Friday night. So I really don't expect anything different this year. In fact I don't see why we won't get every single YES network game unless it's a Saturday afternoon or something like that. But, with the NBA having a few more weeks in there season and I think FSN picks up some of the first and second round hockey games for individual FSN regions. There might be some early weeks we won't get as much HD as we will come June or July.

No, because I don't plan out my TV watching of live events that far in advance. Plus there are 162 games for every team. Plenty of baseball to watch. I don't fret over individual games.

I have friends who have Dish. They don't get this stuff at all. I have relatives that have Fios. They don't get this stuff at all. I have friends who have Comcast. They don't get HD baseball worth a damn. I have a friend who had to move and lost DirecTV and is stuck with a local cable company and won't get HD worth a damn.

I don't look at what is missing. I exalt in what I get. Which is plenty.

The Nationals and the Orioles have only 40 games a piece in HD this year. So don't look for many HD games when they are the home team.

cmasia, I came here to see if this issue was being discussed.

I'm glad it is. I just got the dtv letter in the mail, and it brought to my attention that I had to pay extra for the HD games.

Well I only want to watch Cleveland Indians games so if I get 1 game a month or less I won't be happy paying an extra 50 bucks for the games.

Edit: I have checked out the Indians schedule and it appears most games are on Sports Time Ohio in HD. I assume that pretty much means those games will be available via satellite in HD?

My sympathies, but yeah you probably shouldn't start a daily thread on this

I cercainly would not call this post "clutter" half the posts over the last six months in this forum have been an almost hourly update of what NHL CI was or was not showing, or starting late or stopping early, ect.....

I think I made fun of that, too.

Better to collect them into single threads as much as possible. Actually, easier to follow for the DirecTV folks who monitor this forum as well.

I agree, there are about five or six active MLB EI threads right now. Once the season starts it should be pretty easy to contain them into one "gripe" thread.
