Japanese video-game software maker Sega Corp. plans to integrate its operations with those of Sammy Corp., a maker of slot machines, to become more competitive in the amusement gaming business, the companies said Thursday.

So, are they "Sammy" or "SammySega"?

Sega has truely dropped off the map.

I wonder what this will do to Sega's relationship to M$? Or what will happen to all the Xbox exclusive games?

I'd assume they'd just continue with the games. I don't think NFL 2k4 will be delayed at all...

I read recently that Sega has stopped all sports games for the Nintento Gamecube but will continue to put out games like Super Monkey Ball and what not for them.

Sega pulled all of it's 'Sega Sports' games off the GameCube. The games just weren't selling, Cube owners don't seem to like sports games. Other Sega games will still come out for GameCube (SMB series, Sonic series & whatever else).

John: I don't know what'll happen with Xbox Exclusive games for Sega. They really don't seem to sell that great now. Though, you'll still see the 'Sega Sports' games on Xbox that's a given. Oh well back to "Panzer Dragoon Orta"! :D

Samega sounds like the logical conclusion.
