Baseball package withouth anything else?

I'm thinking about dropping DirecTV until mid or late summer. I would like to buy the baseball package tho. Is it possible to get the baseball package but not subscribe to anything else on DirecTV?

Um, actually, yes. You can take MLBEI and nothing else if you want to. NFLST, NBALP, NHLCI and the other sports subs do not require TC.

New subs have to take TC as part of their 1st-year agreement, but subscribers who have fulfilled that obligation can take just the sports packages if they like.

Do they charge an extra $5 or some type of minimal extra fee for not taking a minimal package?

None that I'm aware of. I've never had a sports sub myself, but members of the tivocommunity who are sports-only customers have never reported anything like that.

Thats not what they told my parents. You had to have at least TC to get MLB EI.

They were new subs, so I guess what you said is correct
