question about dropping HD

I have a single 622 receiver. If I drop HD will they make me switch out the receiver to another model? My cable company has passed Dish with HD content and I only watch Dish to view FSC, Setanta, & GoalTV. I want to keep the 622 for recording capacity. I wish there was a way to get those three channels without the other BS.

You should be able to keep the 622, however Dish will charge you a $7 month HD enabling fee. You could just downgrade to the lower HD package ($10 per month).
