I am in the Bahamas and have 110 on a a 3foot dish on single LNB at 95%. I also have 119 on a separate 3foot dish at 95%. Both run to a Zinwell WB68 multiswitch. I want to install an older model AT9 dish to nail down 99, 101, and 103. Then I wanted to run the 110 and 119 cable to the AT9 LNB unit instead of the sidecar leads to see if I can get HD on my H21-200 box.

Does anyone think this will work? If I wanted to try it, where can I get an AT9 dish? I can't seem to find any on Amozon or eBay.

Tks.

I have one that I can sell you. After being told that I didn't have LOS from a single location by a DirecTV contractor, I bought two off of ebay and hired a private installer. The installer told me that the first guy was wrong and he then proceeded to install a Slimline which got reception in the 90's on all satellites.

I sold one of them to a fellow DBSTalker and still have the other one. If you're interested PM me.

Soon enough all the HD will be at the 99-103 slots which you should get with no trouble. But I think to do what you want you need the AT9 model that has coax inputs from the sidecar which not all AT9's have.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

What he's looking to do is the second of the three diagrams. Since everything is going through the multi-switch, rather than connecting at the AT-9, it doesn't matter whether the dish has coax inputs or not.

Even if he were using methodology 1, there are adapters (either this one (http://www.myradiostore.com/sirius/sirius-signal-distribution/f-jack-smb-plug-adapter.html) or this one (http://www.myradiostore.com/sirius/sirius-signal-distribution/f-jack-smb-jack-adapter.html), I'm not sure which) to allow the the SMB jack to be connected to a Coax cable. The connector on the WNC dish is the same as on Sirius antennas.

OK. I ordered an AT9 off of Amazn for $50 and some guy sent me an AU9 slimline which wont accept the two 110 and 119 leads that I have.

OK I got the diagrams. Exactly what I needed to know. I messed with the slimline setup for a day connected to the H21-200 and could not pick up any signal. Before I ship the AT9 here, I should make sure I can get 99/101/103 signal here.

I think.

Given how much appears that it will cost to ship an AT-9 to the Bahamas (unless there is a less expensive methodology than the USPS, UPS or FedEx), I think that's a really good idea.

DBSForums is down today, but if it comes back up, you can go to their Latin America forum and ask what kind of reception they are getting in the Bahamas.

Almost no retailers sell the AT9 dish anymore. Make sure you get either an ANDREW or CALAMP AT9 dish per Litzdog's thread. I found several of them off of ebay by emailing the hundreds of contractors that were selling the AU9 dish and and asking them if they had the "old" AT9 dish. I found many and was able to find two ANDREW dishes

He's trying to connect three dishes together (diagram 2). The brand of the dish is irrelevant because he doesn't need to make a connection at the 99/101/103 LNB. The connection is at the splitter/combiner using the Coax that comes from each dish.

Well if he doesn't need the coax version, I have one I would be happy to give him, or anyone else for that matter, as the long as they pay shipping.

The only rub is that it does not have a bolt set as I had to use the bolts for an AU9.
