View Full Version : Lost Superfan Interactive Features?
Earlier today on MLBEI, everything was working fine. All of a sudden I can't use the remote to choose a game nor will the color buttons work when on a game. Remote is working for exverything else. Just checking to see if anyone else has run into it before I do a reboot (takes so dang long).

Not working from me either. Even rebooted my receiver. There must be a problem since I'm able to get the interactive features on News Mix Ch. 102 and Sports Mix Ch. 104.
Decided to reboot mine as well, same thing, does not help.

I was just about to make a post about this. Glad I am not the only one.

It looks to me like the interactive features aren't available on the HD feeds, only SD.
I really hope Directv can do something about this.

It will be QUITE SOME TIME before they are working in the HD feeds, so let's set that expectation while we can.
It would be hopeful if they were available in HD at all this season. If they are, it will be around the Sept time frame....if.

IIRC weren't a limited set of interactive features available on the HD channels last year? I believe you couldn't get the pitching and batting stats, but the standings worked and blue button to the mix channel did.
I'm guessing the difference is last year we were watching HD off the other KU sats in MPEG-2 ...?
I had the same experience and was disappointed not to be able to select a "box" from the eight games and launch the channel change from there. It may have something to do with blackout rules, though. I noticed that in the regular guide menu, there were two choices for the Giants/Dodgers game yesterday. For me, here in the Bay Area, we could get only the Giant feed, (krook and Kype = YUCK for me), but not the Dodger feed (at least they have Scully). However, the little "box" presented on the EISuperfan channel was the Scully feed, which we could hear. I thought we might be able to launch to this feed from that channel but, no dice.
OTOH, for games not involving a "local" team, it was cool to get both game's HD feeds and pick between announcing crews.
