OK .. I think this might have been the best episode yet. The characters seem to have everything worked out. Omar & Dad (John) in the bar was a great scene as was the ending scene with Theo & Grandad (John) in the white room .. A bit of humor thrown in when Theo said "You got kids?" .. John's response "Here and there." :grin:

I caught John telling Roosevelt about how art transcends time and connects everyone only to find later that John's painting is hanging on the wall in the brewery. And boy, that was one big family tree .. :)

OK, now I'm wishing/hoping this thing gets picked up for more episodes.

I am too, Doug. I finally got to watch it, and it's clear the writers have a better handle on where this is going, even delving more into developing the auxiliary characters, like John's partner.

I really want this back as well ... whether it's Fox or any other network.

This was number 6. Sadly, tonight is #7, and next week (if there IS a next week) is #8).

I hope Fox lets it play out and gives some thought to bringing it back.

I too thought this episode was the best yet. Kinda thought he wanted to tell them who he truly is. At least he can fill in that limb on the family tree.

I hope Fox renews the show as well.

IMDB lists 8 total, but that may not be all of them. IMDB is usually right, however ...

OK - The Wikipedia page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Amsterdam_(TV_series)) also lists 8 episodes. I didn't notice this the last time I looked at Wikipedia, but there's also a running timeline as John's life is revealed to us ...

I thought this was a pretty good episode, too. I didn't like Episode 7 too much though, but maybe I was just being picky. They did advertise Episode 8, so it looks like they're finishing out the season.
