Shreveport Locals

Does anyone have fresh info on when locals will be available in Shreveport, LA.?

I'm a DTV dealer, but I find all of my info on DTV posted here way before anyone with the company informs me.

Even my distributor is in the dark on new happenings reported here first!

Thanks! No, I'm just a lowly dealer. DTV and my distributors never tell me anything, except how much I owe on backcharges!

Shame on D*. They should at least have told you today!!! After all, you sell their equipment. DUH!!!

Oh well, you will probably notice big ads in the Shreveport paper touting the locals. When we got locals in Jackson, both E* and D* had full page ads in Section A of the paper. Both tripped over each other to get the locals out first. D* was better, though. They had all major affiliates (including WB and low power UPN). E* still doesn't have either in their locals package here.

KTAL (NBC) is not up, but they probably will be soon. As you sell the dishes, tell your customers that they need to inform KTAL that they won't be watching until they agree to be carried on D* :D

and the a/v is actually quite nice of course I am so used to seeing them OAT which this far away the OTA quality is lousy

Again, thanks to this forum. I have yet to hear a word from DTV or RS&I.

Part of the Shreveport DMA covers counties next to us here in Texas. We're going to work those areas and try to sell a bunch of DTV!
