Glad to hear this. Plus, with it being on the 101, the PQ will probably be better than on NBC!

I'm loving it. It also makes DirecTV a better value to me. I really don't want to wait until 2009.

I'm happy that their doing this, as it's great for D*.

I just wish they'd do it with a good show so it's worthwhile to ME.

Many of us think that this is a good show (even if season 2 wasn't quite as excellent as the first).

I agree. Hopefully they can find a good story line for season 3.

I've never watched FNL, but my Dish Network subscribing brother-in-law loves it. It will be fun to rub this in his nose!

This is a great show and is worth saving in so many ways. I even contributed to the drive to save the dang thing. Kudos to Direct on this one.

No this is great for Friday Night Lights and their fans. Without D*'s help this show was dead in the water. Thats sad too because the show is excellent. I'm handicapped and in a wheelchair and this programs shows people how hard it can be when your paralized. I think D* will get great press from it and they deserve it.

The movie was boring and predictable, so I never really gave the TV show a chance.

Plus, time is too valuable for most sitcoms, can't stand that their main goal is to
keep stringing you along... unlike a movie, their goal is to never end if they're
doing their job right.

It's a great show, and I am very happy to see it continued. This was one of my 2 favorite shows on TV, and my other favorite deserves the same treatment.

HEY DTV... Please give this same treatment to Jericho. The second season was awesome even if it was only 7 episodes. I want more and thousands of others to too!

Thanks for keeping FNL, now help the Jericho rangers please!!

The movie was a true story, although I guess you could say it was predictable.

The TV show is only loosely based on the movie/book, which amounts to the fact that it's about a small Texas town with a high school football team. It isn't a teen-based drama, however. It's not even just a sports drama -- just a great drama.

Add me to the list of very excited subscribers to hear this news. And my fiancee for that matter.

Best show on tv..

Certainly ranks way up there. Like all truly great dramas it manages to transcend its setting and have meaning that is timeless. It is definitely not a sitcom, and has very little to do with the movie.

My wife has been wondering if it was coming back or not, she is a big fan of the show. I looked up the NBC site the other night and just read this news so she is happy. She grew up in the place (30 miles from Odessa) and era that the movie was based on and Boobie (the running back in the movie) now lives in the town where she grew up.

It is interesting for us to watch here as we go to many of the places where it is filmed since it is filmed in the Austin area. We had the actor who plays Buddy Garrity stop by and look at our motorcycles and chat a few minutes when we had a gathering at a coffee shop on South Congress. It has quite an impact on the Austin film & television industry.

If they do this with 24 I might have to invest in new shorts.

That's a great deal they got there. If I am not in the middle of too much during those months I may actually watch this season.
