I have been getting some annoying pixleation type sounds on differnt stations on D*. Right now we are watching Toon Disney HD (Rescuers Down Under) and the pixle sound comes up every 3 minutes or so. I have also noticed this while watching Extra Innings. Anyone know what might be causing this? Its very annoying.

I, too, am getting these audio blips if you will, only on the new MPEG 4 stations and it's very annoying!!!
I noticed it last fall when they first started TBS HD(baseball playoffs) and it was very annoying. Now they're getting more frequent, especially on the MLB EI Strike Zone HD channel. So annoying I had to turn to another
channel.
CSRs were of no help as usual.

Well, it seems as though we have a new term: "Pxelated Audio" : )
But, I think I know what you're talking about. Audio drop outs usually occur alonw or with a picture breakup, or macroblocking related to signal issues such as rain fade.
I think what you're referring to is, and I don't know if this is the correct term either, audio stuttering - where you hear several fast blips or noises in the audio.
Now, I'm only guessng at this, but I think it has something to do with either the receiver OR something further upstream to the source that's re-syncing the audio to the video. I have noticed at times when this happens, then that's either when the audio goes out of sync, or back into sync depending.
I notcied this tonight on American Idol a few times but it recovered quickly and didn't lose sync.

I had this quite a bit tonight too on AI and also on our local NBC affiliate. Might have just been one of those things. I haven't had a problem at all for months.
