The PQ of this feed is very nice, also loving all the local commercials they've kept in the broadcast

Very happy. I have seen 4SD's Padres games before in HD. They do a very good job. Up there with NESN and YES.

Yay for Satelliteracer and his cohorts!

But I love the Cox HD ads. :)

WOW, that last commercial break was hilarious with all the commercials advertising cox as the leader in hd....makes you wonder how directv got this deal done

I noticed this in the guide so I had to check it out. I'm amazed how far D* has improved this season. It wasn't so long ago when there were no Padres games on EI. Now they're up and in HD! Great job guys.

I love how they keep touting that the HD feed is on Cox Cable only. No other provider. :D

Not that I'm complaining...but they are having major audio problems on 4 right now.

I guess it'd be cool if it worked in San Diego

Yeah u guys are in the same position as us in Oregon with the Blazers. They are on Comcast Sportsnet Northwest and they are charging DirecTV 2 dollars per subscriber, so CSNNW will probly never be on D* just like Cox 4 and Cox New Orleans and Comcast Philadelphia once it's no longer land line. Therefore we will never be able to see Blazer games on DirecTV in Oregon.

I'm guessing it was part of the deal they signed last year when MLB EI ended up not being exclusive to DirecTV. In return for "allowing" Cox Cable to carry MLB EI, DirecTV was finally allowed to carry the Cox 4SD feed (and this year with added capacity, the HD version as well). Definitely a great addition!!

It sure would. I did read that Cox and the Padres have a deal for the next three seasons.

I'm certainly not missing my Dish Network setup. EI has come a long way in two years and the pricing is still quite a bargain.

Will Cox 4SD in HD for Padres road games be available on MLB EI? Cox 4SD will have all 150 games in HD (home and away, including the Giants series starting on Monday). But as of right now, the directv.com schedule for Monday only lists the Giants feed in HD.

I know the directv.com schedule is not very accurate, but does anybody know?

Satelliteracer, would you have any info about this?

Glad to see you guys like this channel. I like Matty V, but sometimes Mud gets a bit annoying. The best is on the weekends when they have T Gwynn on the mic too.

I missed getting my Padres on 4SD so much I broke down and added basic cable for $12.50/mo to my T W C sub. Turns out I get it in HD!! Did a scan and found it. It does look good. Hope they pull it out in the clutch this year!!!

What Cox channel you pulling the HD feed from? I get 4 the SD channel. Tried 4.1 with no luck and 704 is empty (I don't have a cable box).

I'm not on Cox, have the "other" local cable co. I had cox years ago and they were decent, but their competitor here really sucks. I quickly dumped them for DTV, but now I'm back with just local cable and DTV.
