nhl network hd, 5.1 dd surround?

when I watch the nhl network hd channel, it only broadcasts in 2.1? I run a yamaha receiver with hdmi/optical hookups. I receive 5.1 on the other hd channels, but not nhl network, tried turning dd off and on, no luck

Same here. During last nights Pens/Flyers game, the TSN guys made a remark of how they were in 5.1, so the NHL network must be downconverting it to just 2.0.

Until all HD channels can process 5.1 correctly (they aren't consistent with the center channel), I keep my receivers on PCM. I'll switch if it's a movie n 5.1.
