View Full Version : Indoor OTA Antennas
I recently bought an indoor antenna (Phillips w/ 50db gain amplified). At best, I get about a 60-70% reception of the digital signal. The station antennas are about 30 miles away within the D/FW area. Would a "better" indoor antenna help much -- or am I probably maxed out unless I went with an "outdoor" type antenna? I'm thinking it is more of my individual situatuion instead of the antenna -- any suggestions? Thanks!

Is a outdoor antenna out of the question? Because I'm afraid the only way to improve your signal strength is with an outdoor antenna. Check solidsignal.com they have a few outdoor off air antennas that are small and unobtrusive that may do the trick for you.

An outdoor antenna is not OUT of the question -- but an awfully big hassle. The receiver/TV I want to use is on the front of the house -- so I would have to run a lot of coax to the side or rear of the property.
One other note -- I get much better reception when I hook up the indoor antenna directly to my TV instead of going through my ViP222!
