I asked yesterday but did not get an answer. Does anyone know? I would love to hear Vinny more often (like tonight)

Not likely any time soon. Rights, fees, etc. Maybe next year or maybe not at all.

It's really gonna suck when the Giants and the Dodgers are both OTA, because then Extra Innings will have that "game may be available locally" crap. I cannot understand how the MLB and DirecTV can't make every game available, especially when a good number of them out of the year are OTA only.

It's on a station by station basis. For example, DirecTV made a deal with my9 WWOR to show Yankees games on EI last year. And this year, the only OTA deal DirecTV has made was for WPCH to show Braves games.

WWOR and WPCH are the 2 only true OTA channels which are available on EI. All other OTA games are simulcast on RSN's.

Judging by responses in other threads it sounds more like D* could but it would cost money to get them in the package. I am assuming D* would rather spend the money to get the dual feeds and the increased HD.

InDemand's version of Extra Innings does have OTA feeds (although KCAL isn't listed in the April schedule) but only have 1 or 2 HD games a day and only a single feed.
