Unless you bought the DRM free versions of those songs then it is impossible. Itunes songs have a strong DRM on them and are only playable through apple devices.

There programs out there that will convert DRM-Itunes into mp3 files that you can then play using WMP11 or other like media programs. The one I used is called Protected Music Converter it is a shareware program but the unpaid for version is a pain in the butt because you have to baby sit it during the converting process because of the pop up windows that stop the converting until you close the window.
Just do a search itune converters. Good luck.
It's also possible to purchase unprotected versions of many songs today on iTunes or from other resellers like Amazon. I don't think however that iTunes is capable of serving as a music server for the HR20. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on this.

I haven't read about anyone using itunes as a server. I don't think the HR2x is capable of playing itunes but I maybe wrong.

It should be pointed out that, unless I am mistaken, it is illegal (in the United States) to remove DRM or other copyright technology from software that has DRM. However, iTunes does provide for making DRM-free CD's of DRM encoded music. This is a documented feature of the software and is not illegal. Simply use iTunes to burn CD's of your songs, then re-import the music into WMP or whatever.

Removing DRM may not be illegal if your doing it for your own use but I'm not sure.
I forgot above the other method you mention and to be on the safeside I would go it that one. Besides it gives you a cd/dvd back up in case the computer crashes.
Thanks for the reminder.
