I've got the DishPro 500 twin LNB with one coax running into a DP34 switch (don't ask why only one, crazy D* installers); from the DP34, I'm potentially running into 3 rooms (6000u w/Legacy adapter, 5000 w/Legacy adapter, 301). But first I wanna get one working. So I hook the 6000 up first. Here's my probs: (1) the 6000 thinks this is a SW64; (2) after the switch check, the 6000 only sees the 119 bird. No 110. I haven't tried either of the two other receivers yet. If I run the coax straight to the 6000/Legacy Adapter combo, no problems. If I run coax/DP34/Legacy Adapter/6000u, only one bird.  The funny thing is, it was working! The DP34 is mounted indoors (no weather related issues). Since I've only got one coax run, I guess I could change port in on the DP34 to see if the port is bad. Any ideas? Perhaps I don't understand the purpose of the switch.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You need to run both feeds of the DP Twin into the DP-34 or it will only see one satellite. In other words you will need two cables from the dish to the DP-34 switch. With the 5000 & 6000 it will test as a SW-64 with the 301 it will recognize the Dish Pro. You will need a second dish aimed at either 61.5 or 148 and connected to the third port of the DP-34 switch to get HDTV.

the DP Twin LNB pumps out 110 and 119 on seperate ports when plugged into a DP34 switch

The DishPro twin reverts to two separate DishPro "single" lnb's when it is hooked up to a DP34. It's like having only one lnb hooked up at 119.
