Starting last night, and intermitently before, whenever we've had bad rain storms, I've had issues for the folloring days with my my receivers dropping signal with a 771 error. I had thought it was just my H20 having issues with the SWM that I have installed, but today it has affected all of my receivers. At one point, none we working and all had the 771 error. If I reset, I can get signal again, but it drops out. My signal strengths are all in the normal range when they are on in the high 90's.

I changed the setup for my power inserter to go back to its own RG-6 line and it seems to have solved the problem. Is this a SWM issue? Or is my AT-9 dish the issue (I've heard of leaks causing issues with the LNB)? I have to assume that all of my receivers cannot be going bad.

As I said, this used to just affect my H20 where I'd get the 771 error and/or the multiswitch error. Never had previously affected my HR20 or any of the legacy receivers.

Thanks!

I suspect you have a moisture problem .... either the connectors at the dish or the LNB assembly. Also be sure to check the connectors at your ground block where the cables enter your house.

I had a customer call in when I worked for DTV that had a similar issue. It turned out that his multiswitch was the culprit. When he performed a full reset, he was only doing it to one receiver at a time and this kept power to the multiswitch.

Try unplugging all devices connected at the same time. Then wait the prerequisite time and start powering up one at a time starting with the multiswitch if it is powered.
