View Full Version : TNT hardly watchable half the time.
I'm wondering if it's just me having this problem or if it's a widespread issue.
There are some evenings that it's not even watchable at all. I'm talking around 5 to 7 PM Mountain time.
I'm having intermittent problems with other channels as well. (DiscoveryHD, HistHD, maybe a few others)
TNTHD is far and away the worst though.
I have looked at my transponder strengths and I'm not really liking what I see.
Can any tell me what sat TNT is on?
Perhaps posting my signal strengths would be wise.
What sats should I include if I do that?
BTW I live about 25 miles north of Denver, Colorado.
I really would like to compare transponder readings with some people in this area.

can you post your transponder levels?

Hey mwg,
TNT is actually on the 110 SAT according to lyngsat.com, but if it were me I'd be looking at making sure I've got good cabling everywhere, double-checking a secure dish etc since you report intermittent probs with other channels as well, and only during certain times of the day.
which receiver(s) do you have as well please?

if you mean the audio skips I get that and my signals are either n/a or 92+. no 0 anywhere.
tnt sd does not seem to do it to me. tnt hd is one of the worse channels for this on my end.

Those signals could be better, but they're really not that bad. At least not bad enough to cause audio problems during clear weather.
Yep, you need to be looking at the 119sat where TNT-HD is (or was; they tend to move the older Ku/Mpeg2 stuff around quite a bit between 110 and 119). On some other thread someone with equipment (an older TIVO-HD unit I believe) said that some of the HD was up in the high transponders (28-32) or thereabouts. They're getting ansy about moving that stuff onto D11 it looks as quickly as possible, perhaps.

Hey mwg47x, I'm only 10 miles or so from you, and my 103c readings are all lower 90s (can't check specific numbers right now as the HR-20 is recording). If you are interested in them, PM me and I'll send them to you.
