DirecTV & Slingbox - not showing proper picture format

So I replaced my time warner cable with directv today, and it seems the HR21 receiver isnt getting along with the slingbox the same way TWC did...

If the picture is 4:3 it appears squished on the slingbox, if the picture is 16:9 it appears full screen in the slingbox instead of widescreen.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of what to investigate?

Because you're receiving different aspect ratios to your Slingbox, you have to manage your Sling's "view" a bit more. So in Sling, go "View">Aspect Ratio and you can change your settings to match the program coming from your receiver.

EDIT: This also depends on how you have your HR21 set up to display SD channels. This will affect the settings in Sling for 4:3 SD program IIRC.

In your slingbox, go to: View > Video Size, and change the setting to Widescreen (16x9). That should fix your problem.
