Blank Recording Frozen picture

I have a directv r-10 tivo and sometimes it looks like its recording and when i go to watch the recordings they are blank! also sometimes my picture freezes and the audio is still running and i have to rest the receiver to get the picture back! has anyone else had these problems and is there a fix for them?

Tell us more about how the Tivo is connected to your TV. Does the video return if you power your TV off/on? This could be a hard drive problem, or something else.

no i have to reset the receiver to get the picture back
