Two Hughes HDVR2 Questions

1.  The manual says that if I have two tuners (which I do), while watching live TV, I can switch between two channels and keep the last half hour of each channel in the buffer.  When I do this, I see the green bar at the bottom of the display go to zero when I return to a channel I just had on before.  Is this happening to others?  Am I doing something wrong (all I'm doing is hitting the "Last" or "Previous" (or whatever it's called - I'm at work now) button to go from one channel to another and back to the first)?  Do I need a software upgrade (I think my version is 3.5)?  Is my machine defective?

2.  What does the Window button on the remote do?  I swear I saw something about it in the manual, but after having re-read the manual several times, I can't find it.

Jim,

To switch between tuners, either hit the "live TV" button or hit the down button on the d-pad. The Last/previous button goes to the last channel on "that" tuner.

The window button doesn't currently do anything... there are numerous rumours on what it will do in the future.... (my favorite is to hook your TV room window up to the USB port and the "window" button will open/close your window(s))
