I ordered a new RF capable remote (RC64) because the Remote I had could not program for my Olevia TVs. So I got it but I can't program it for RF on my living room HR20. I have 2 other RC34 remotes set and operating in RF mode through walls and everything. But the new one woll not and it is supposed to be RF capable. Anyone know what could be the problem? Is there a way I could reset the remote all together from scratch. I reset it throught the HR20 remote menu, but still couldn't get it programmed to RF. Is there a button to hold on the remote to reset it completely?
Do you have the RF antenna connected to the HR20? RF doesn't work on the HR20 without the antenna connected.

It needs to be an RC64R or RC64RB.
The "plain" RC64 isn't RF capable.

The -700 has the antenna internal.

It's an HR20-700 so it is an internal antenna

Thanks a million, I guess I'll be needing that extra R or B. Mine is just RC64.

The remote will also have an FCC sticker on the underneath side of the remote if it is RF capable.

I had an HR20-700 and I used the RF remote without an antenna on the back and it worked just fine.

The RF remote needs to say "RC64R" on the top left, otherwise it's just an IR remote. . . you can find one on eBay pretty cheap, if needed.
