Anybody jacked up for the Stanley Cup Playoffs?
P.S. If DBSForums was running, Sandra would break down every series.
And her Rangers WON Game 1!
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT SITE? WHY NOW?

Rangers-Devils Game 1 was very satisfying, as was the Canadiens' 4-1 win last night. Cool watching the Habs on HNIC!

I'm amped about the playoffs. I was a little disgusted Wednesday night with the Sharks game. Not so much the performance as the outcome. I really thought that the Flames first goal, the deflection came with the stick above the crossbar. Obviously the war room in Toronto didn't agree with me. IF the Sharks play the next few games the way they played last night, the Flames are in trouble. I don't think we'll win 3 in a row though, San Jose in 6.
I was surprised by the Ducks/Stars outcome last night. It is just one game, but if the Ducks continue their parade into the sin bin, it may be a short postseason appearance for them. I think Anaheim is the better team, but last night Dallas capitalized on their mistakes. I'll still take Anaheim in 6.
I think the Detroit-Nashville series should really be no contest. Detroit in no more than 5 would be my predicition. Nashville MAKING the playoffs was huge this year, with all the changes... I just don't think they have the talent to match up with Detroit.
I think Colorado-Minnesota is the series to watch in the first round, Western Conference playoffs. These two teams should match up pretty well, I think. Colorado still has some of those old playoff experienced players, but the Wild were pretty good this year. Should be a good matchup - I'll take MInnesota in 7.
I'll have to "study" the Eastern Conference teams before I can pick any of those series. Being a West Coaster, I'm not nearly as familiar with the Eastern Conference.

By the way... Did anyone watch the Sharks game last night.
The "save" Kiprusoff made on the Mike Grier breakaway was incredible! Grier was getting pressure from behind, so he had to push the puck out in front of him a bit, and Kiprusoff came almost all the way to the blue line, diving head first, to get the puck just an instant before Grier took control of it again! If Kipper missed that dive, it's big trouble for the Flames.

Can't wait to see the Rangers play, if they ever put them on.
I'm figuring Versus will televise Rangers/Devils Game 5.....
But it's looking like game 5 might not happen.:D

Not really. With no Sabres this year, I'm not into it. And I’m, glad they didn’t get in, that team didn’t deserve to be in the playoffs this year, there’s 82 games, 60 minutes in length, you can’t play good in the first period or last 10 minutes of the third and expect to get anywhere. Just as long as Ottawa gets knocked out in the first round by the Penguins and then the Penguins get knocked out in Round 2. I can’t stand Ottawa, their fans, even their goal horn. And the Pens can go bye bye so I don’t have to hear the morons on Versus and NBC mention Sid Crosby every 5 minutes. Nice to see Boston go down in OT tonight, can’t stand Boston sports. Not really sure who I’d like to see in the East, but in the West I’d like to see either the Wild (yeah right, I know) or the Sharks. I don’t think I could root for a team in the East since I spend the whole year rooting against 14 of the 15 teams. 5 ½ more months until my boys in blue and gold are back on the ice.

I'm into it. My teams (Leafs/Pens) were in for several consecutive years in the 90's and I got used to having teams to cheer for. However, since both teams declined in recent years I almost forgot how exciting playoff hockey can be when one of my teams is directly involved. Don't get me wrong, the Lightning/Flames, Canes/Oilers series were awesome, but it means a little more when one of your favorites is involved.

I'm definitely into it.My FLYERS are in it (barely) & my # 2 team from San Jose are in it.Unfortunely I have to root for the PENGUINS because I drew them in an office pick em pool.
