501 univeral remote problem

I'm using a universal remote with the 501, twice now the 501 will stop working with this remote, after I reboot it it works fine, seems it stops recognizing any IR commands, anyone run into this problem before?

Yes, it's an occasional occurrence for me. It's more of a software problem. When it happens again try using the front panel buttons, they should be frozen too.

That sucks, just started two days ago and happened again today after being shut off all night, but I'm pretty sure it has done it while on all day also. What a pain.

Yeah it's a major pain! This happened to me about 8-10 times in the past few months. Haven't it freeze in a while though. Bob, what software version does your 501 have?
