Kenshin on Cartoon Network? (2003-02-14 13:14:15)

According to Cartoon Network’s online programming schedule, Rurouni Kenshin will air weekdays at 6:30EST beginning March 17th. Although the online schedule has proven incorrect on occasion, it is very unlikely that a new acquisition would be posted unless broadcast plans had been secured, so viewers should expect to see Kenshin on television very soon.

Cartoon Network has announced that, starting in March, Toonami is adding Yu Yu Hakusho as well as the final episodes for Dragonball Z.

The programming block will also once again be shortened to a two hour programming block. Toonami was once before shortened to 2 hours in May of 2001. The third hour returned in June 2002.

Also in March, Inu Yasha will be returning to Adult Swim. Trigun, meanwhile, has been pushed to an April debut.

Z'Loth,

Nadesico, it looks like there are only 3 episodes and it didn't look like they would continue the following week? I heard alot about Nadesico (thay actually make fun of Anime in the show by watcing Anime in the show?) Do you know why they are doing that 3 show and goodbye junk?

And of course Robotech is like 85 episodes, why are they showing only 3 episodes?

I honestly don't know. Especially surprising is Neon Genesis Evangelion since it is filled with religious references--something that Cartoon Network shies away from.

Again, from Anime News Network:

New Cartoon Network Acquisitions (2003-02-20 16:44:20)
At a news conference this morning, Cartoon Network announced the acquisition of Blue Gender, Kikaider, SD Gundam, and Big O season 2. A timetable for broadcast has not yet been announced, but the new anime series are expected to be on the network within several months.

Gundam on TV (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/article.php?id=3225)

According to Altered States Magazine, "Gundam F-91" is coming to the US, and will be shown on Cartoon Network. This news comes from Bandai at the New York International Toy Fair. However it is not stated when it will be appearing on Cartoon Network or when it will be released on DVD. Previous Gundam announcements from Bandai have been up to a year in advance, but generally are closer to 6 to 8 months.

Also mentionned, is an interesting tid bit about about the Cartoon Network broadcast of Zeta Gundam. Zeta will be broadcast on both Toonami in edited form, and on Adult Swim unedited.

Also... according to CN schedule
* .hack//SIGN will be moving to nights (see above) and will be restarting from the first episode.
* Inuyasha will return to Adult Swim on March 3rd, and restart from the first episode. Please note that Inuyasha has over 100 episodes and is still currently airing in Japan, so they're still working on the translations.
* Lupin the 3rd will have new episodes beginning March 3rd.
* G Gundam will be removed from Saturday airings. The weekday airings will continue in the new time slot of 5 PM Eastern.
