View Full Version : DTV picture quality with a 36 inch?
I'm considering a 32 or 36 inch direct view purchasem but I'm concerned about picture quality with a DirecTV signal. Does anyone have an experience with artifacting or noise with a TV this size? I currently have a 27 inch and the locals don't look all that great.

Go to DBS Forum (http://www.dbsforums.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=forum&f=1&submit=Go) and ask Dan Collins, he has a 36" and has done a couple of PQ comparisons between D* & E*.

I have a 50" plasma display and DTV looks a whole lot better than cable did. Not one problem here
I've had a JVC 36 inch set hooked to one of my DirecTV receivers since September of 1999 and the PQ is excellent.
If you get a new set, regardless of the size, make sure it has an "S" Video input. There is a significant improvement in PQ with "S" Video over any other video input method.
