View Full Version : My HR10-250's XM channels are haunted!

OK, this is weird...

I'm listening to ch. 804 on one tuner and 805 on the other while readying myself for bed. I'm pretty much staying on 804, and get this--it keeps playing the same 2 songs and has been for the last 20 minutes! The info on the screen shows a new song and artist, but it's the same two songs over and over. If I have to hear Tony Orlando's Candida one more time, I'm gonna freak! :eek2:

I'd switch to the other tuner then back just to see if this "reset" anything, so to speak, even though I realize that the audio channels have no buffer, but all this does is go back to the previous song! Bizarre.

To see if this was unique to the HR10-250, I switched to my HR20-700s and they're fine. They're playing the song that matches the info on the screen. The HR10-250, however, just keeps repeating the same two songs but shows current artist/title info.

I think this thing is haunted.

BTW, before someone inevitably pops in and says the typical "bad drive," guess again. Everything else on this unit works fine, and the drive's a relatively new 750GB one anyway. The drive's fine. It's just haunted! :eek2:

I have powered up the TV to find a blue, blank menu screen showing, and the song playing is not the one that is currently playing. IIRC I can not get any info on the screen just the blank menu. I have to change channels to get things back to normal screen display and the song to change to the current one playing. So your not alone with weird XM happenings, the next time it happens I will see if the song(s) repeat. It might be a while since it is vary rarely that both tuners are on XM stations, and sometimes I get a reboot when both tuners are left on XM. Error in the logs about could not remove unwritten live file or something to that affect.

Maybe that's why my HR10-250 appears to have rebooted at least once per night. And no, I never did upgrade to 6.3f. I'm content with 6.3e.
