TBSHD Audio

Has anyone else noticed that the audio on TBSHD just doesnt sound right? To me, its like it has too much base, and although it's Doby Digital, it's as if it's outputting to the surround channels incorrectly and continuously. I am feeding my HR21-700 to my Onkyo RX. All the other channels seem correct, but not TBS.

Yep, I also noticed this. It started a few weeks ago when they first began showing stuff in real hd

It sounds like the center channel dialog is being mixed thru all surround and front channel speakers.I noticed this recently when they started broadcasting some shows in true hd not stretchovision.

Without a doubt it's got way to much base and it sounds like my Yamaha is on 7 channel stereo. They need to get it fixed.

Not the audio issue originally discussed, but has anyone else noticed audio distortion on TBSHD a lot lately. Voices kind of sound like a robot. The SD channel is fine and so are all other MPEG-4 channels. It has happened several times lately. It's happening right now during My Boys.

I'm watching tonight's Bill Engvall and the distortion started in the middle of the episode, and went straight through to My Boys.

I have the same problem on my HR-20 700 Sound like a reverb.

And it was not on Comcast, so it is in the DirecTV distribution chain.

Called DTV and have not had any reports of it yet. They will escalate it and try to determine what the problem is....yea right!
