Future HD channels

Now that ABC Family channel is the only channel left in the "Coming Soon" spot on the D* site,what other HD channels are available that will be a good bet on showing up in say,the next 6 months?? (not locals or RSNs)

Mojo or one of the other HD channels on Comcast had one (a real fire) in HD last Christmas. I switched to DirecTV shortly thereafter.

Sorry man, I didn't mention that because I'm in the Chicago area so I get it via locals and via antenna.

Agreed, but I think this speaks to a more important issue. I'm pretty quick to jump on DirecTV when they do something I percieve as dumb, but I have to say that this really is a testament to their dedication to staying ahead in the "HD Race".

The question soon will be "when is the next HD Channel going to be available for DirecTV to add it?" rather than "when will DirecTV add new HD Channels?" It will be very nice when it gets to the point where DirecTV can say, "we've put up everything that's available; we just need more to become available".

We'll still be wanting more HD, but there's something comforting in knowing that the entity to gripe to about it will soon be the networks, not the provider.

And DirecTV has given us many, many more HD channels than would be necessary to simply stay ahead and be the leader.

They are leading the way in the "mainstreaming" of HDTV by doing so much more than the bare minimum required to stay ahead of Dish.
