Anyone with any information regarding how the supply side is doing for these updates? Our building operator continues to state there are supply issues, blames Directv, etc while other operators in the city move forward. Any insight?

Yes and No would be the best answer. Yes equipment is available but no not at the quantity we would hope for. But that has improved over the past month and should continue to improve.

We receive 20 calls a day regarding the MFH2 upgrade and understandably so as the customer are seeing the new HD channels advertised by DirecTV everywhere. What I generally tell them is that the equipment is expected to start arriving in larger quantities over the next 6 weeks, which is the case. At the same time have management/condo association contact sales to determine the ability for the upgrade.

There is a difference between your system operator telling you its not available and giving you a date when it will be available. It sounds like they are unfortunately stalling you at this time.

You are fortunate to live in Chicago which have a much larger selection of System Operators than many other cities. I recommend contacting one of the other system operators to see their availablity, that of course is somewhat based on your current contract.

Thanks for your reply. I am attempting to get our board on the ball regarding this, as I suspect there is some benefit we could obtain from asking around as an association.
