Better HDTV

Hi I purchease a LG 42" Widescreen 1080p Full High Definition LCD TV Model #: 42LB5D in the process of shiipped to me ,I have now a walmart 720p 32" tv
is LG ok will I notice any difference in 720p to 1080i except for it be bigger.i know 1080p is only on blu-ray now

My guess is you will notice little difference between 720p and 1080i. You will notice a very nice difference going from 32" to 42".

First welcome back! Yes you will notice a difference in the tv's. Its all about resolution, response time, processor speed, etc. The LG is a decent TV. I'm sure you'll like it. My Phillips is pretty good. I use the resolutions in the HRxx, as 720p is better for fast action sports. Enjoy and have a good night!

Hey dude I thought you were dead. You probably won't see a big difference because even though it'll have more pixels it will be a bigger screen so it'll probably look similar too your 32".As for LG as a brand their ok.

You'll notice a difference because the LG will scale everything up to 1080p, regardless of the resolution it's receiving.

Keep in mind, that's the contrast that LG claims. The actual contrast will be significantly lower than that.
