I have been searching through the forums but I cannot get an lock on the answer I am looking for so I am going to post this thread, we might can even use it for all of us Mac folks to get together and share our tips and tricks on making our Mac communicate to our HR boxes.
Using the newest CE, can anyone get any divx movies to play from Eyeconnect to their HR box? I am using version 1.5.3, but I cannot get anything to play.
Thanks
Ricky

well... my macs are both laptops... so i had to disable eyeconnect because of the "network logoff notifications"... so I'm not sure about playing divx movies... but I would check this thread... http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=92536

Does Eyeconnect work with HR21? I can get it to see my PS3 but its not listing my HR21.
Ps3 works great with photos. Podcast are very touch and go. Sound plays fine but video freezes.
What would be my advantage using the HR21 over the PS3?
I have a iMac G5 PPC running 10.4.11 My network is as follows from the modem.
Modem wired to linksys wired router.
Linksys is wired to Airport Express wirless bridge wireless to Mac, PS3 and Wii.
Linksys is wired my HR21, A2(HDDVD) and PS2.
Also off topic can I connect my old 160gb SATA Imac HDD to my HR21 to increase DVR space? I have it in an enclosure it has esata but the connection seems different. I found a site with I to L esata wire. Why the confussion on two different esata wires?:eek2:

The HR20 only recognizes MPEG2 video files. You would need to convert or use a server which will transcode the video (EyeConnect won't do this).
