Tried to get an answer in the HD Forum.... No Response.....:(
I plan on using component cables to distribute my HD to 3 rooms. What I want do it is add a E LABS AV 400COMP High-Performance Component-HDTV Distribution Amplifier but would really would need to run a 25-50 foot input from my 622. Adding the amp near my 622 would make the output cabling way to big and messy.
Any idea what length of component cable would be too long for my INPUT (DVR to AMP?)
What's too long?

I know of someone using a 45' run of 5-wire component...works fine.

Thanks for the response!
I'm running a 25' component cable, which works just fine. I also have a 25' run of HDMI cable which also works fine. Both are good cables, but they aren't the snooty expensive stuff.

I have a 35' component cable run. I made it myself using Canare cables and connectors. It works fine.

I work in the commercial A/V world and we can run up to 300 feet of component 5 wire (with a D/A of course) but you should be OK from 80 - 100 ft...

I have a 50ft run that works great.
