Have a Logitech scroll mouse and noticed that it has an annoying delay when you start to scroll with the wheel?

I have two that do this and it makes scrolling erratic at times.

I searched for a cure and didn't find much.
So I got to poking around and decided to set the priority higher in task manager for the exe file that is running and it solved it.

So here's what you do in windows xp (2000 too I imagine)

"ctrl + alt + del" to get the task manager.
Select the processes tab.
right click on the EM_EXEC.EXE file.
select set priority > AboveNormal
esc to exit

I haven't figured out how to make this stick every time you startup but it isn't too hard to do.

Best I can figure it must be going into a sort of a sleep state causing the problem.

Scrolling is fine now.
I always thought before that it was the mouse itself, but after I used Knoppix once on here I noticed the scrolling was perfect so I knew then it was XP or driver related.

enjoy!
