Permissions "Bug" Questions

I keep seeing a few people report this issue.
What is it, exactly?
Is it preventable, or is there a work-around?

In brief, programs are either being recorded and immediately deleted, or they're not recording at all. The only indication that it's related to "Permission Problems" is a note when viewing the program info under HISTORY.

The cause is unknown, nor is the intent of the message "Deleted because of permission".... Does that mean Parental Ratings? Series Link settings? Conflicts? Spending Limits? We just don't know ...

My version of the brief explanation is that there is a bug that causes recordings to be deleted and a bug in the history that causes the "Deleted because of permission" in any number of situations (program removed by the user from the todo list, conflicts, etc) to be displayed.
If the two bugs are connected is anyone guess and the assumption that the shows get deleted because of actual recording permission is just a speculation.

This happened to me on 3 shows this week but never before this week. I noticed the trusty record indicator showing that some shows were being recorded per our schedule. However, today when we went to watch some, but not all, of them have been deleted. Checking the History I saw the following message:

"This episode was deleted because of its recording permssions (1002)."

This happened on OTA CBS and DirecTV provided MPEG4 HD locals on two National Release HR20-700's and one 0x225 HR21-700. In my case no Parental Controls, scheduling conflicts, or PPV/spending limits were involved. The HR20-700's are networked but the HR21-700 is not.
