Heads up. If you have a season pass for Junkyard Wars, your PVR may not pick up Junkyard MegaWars specials.
First off, the original Junkyard MegaWars will be airing on February 23rd at 8 & 11 PM ET, and March 2nd at 6 PM ET. From the website (http://tlc.discovery.com/schedule/episode.jsp?episode=0&cpi=53442): Join gearheads from across the globe as they compete to build a Mad Max-style mega machine from scrap. Teams from the U.S., U.K. and Russia construct part off-road, part rock crawler, part amphibious vehicles to conquer savage desert terrain.
Then, from TLC's website (http://tlc.discovery.com/fansites/junkyard/episode/comingsoon.html):
Get ready for an all-new season of Junkyard Wars premiering Wed, March 19, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. New teams, new challenges and loads more maniacal bodging! Be sure to return to the TLC Junkyard Wars fan site in early March for brand-new interactive junk.
And to prepare for the new season, don't miss Junkyard Mega-Wars: Flight of the Century on Sun, March 9, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. This special edition of Junkyard Wars commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Wright Brothers' historic flight. Three teams of experts from Britain, France and the United States must build vintage airplanes from the 1900s using period junk and tools of the time. And they've just 20 hours to do it! If they achieve the impossible — finish the planes and pass the FAA inspection, they will then have to attempt to fly over a dry lake bed in the Mojave Desert. International pride is at stake — the Americans won the competition back in 1903, but which country will triumph in this 21st-century restaging?
