My resolution has been set with native off and at 720 since I hooked it up over a year ago. Last night I turned my tv on and for some reason my guide is shifted left and when it's on 720 the screen shifts left. The only way i've been able to view it without being shifted left it put it in 480 mode. This is driving me nuts any help would be appreciated.

Have you've checked your TV to make sure nothing changed...i.e. picture/screen mode format (full, wide, zoom, just, cinema, etc.) as that could cause a shift of the picture. I had this happen when my son was playing a new game on his PS3 and the picture was slightly shifted. I thought how odd, could it be the new game he just got. Then, I realized my daughter had been playing with the remote and must have hit the button to change the screen mode on the TV to wide causing it shift part of the picture off the screen. In any event, assuming no changes with TV and it's in the proper picture/screen mode, then maybe try rebooting the HR20/21. If tht doesn't work, what type of connection are you using. If HDMI, this is a long shot and not likely to affect anything, but try unplugging the connection and reseating it to make sure nothing is odd there. It will also help re-establish the handshake of the HDMI connection. Hope these thoughts help. Odd issue.

Hi and Thank You, The first thing I did was reboot the receiver last night and that didn't work. I unplugged the HDMI and reconnected it and that wasn't it. The tv is in it's proper mode, as soon as i put in 720 or 1080 it shifts left I truly am stumpted.

What brand/model TV do you have? What happens if you use the Component Video output instead of HDMI?

Do you have another TV you can plug the HR20 into to see if the problem follows the box?

Also, do you have another HDMI input on the TV you can plug into to see if that changes the problem?

It has only 1 HDMI input, I tried running component too and it does the same thing. I guess the box might have gone bad. Thank You guys for all your help.

You might also try the SVideo and Composite Video outputs.
