Detroit Pistons and Detroit Lions fans will probably know of this man.He was a scout for the Pistons for 28 years (known for discovering Joe Dumars and Dennis Rodman) and a part-time scout for the Lions for 22 years.He is also known for being the first black man to coach an NCAA Division 1 program,when he coached the Illinois State Redbirds basketball team from 1970 to 1975.He died in a Detroit area hospital earlier today at the age of 96.
