RTVi and RTVi+ (ch 592 and 593) - Free Weekend at E* (Russian Channels)

I am pretty sure this Weekend - Fri, Feb 28 - Sun, March 2 - there will be a Free Weekend (Preview) of 2 Russian Channels at Dishnetwork - Channels 592 and 593 (RTVi and RTVi+)

Hey cool! Not that I'm a big fan of internationals and I know no other language besides English, I don't mind watching the international channel free previews. Very interestring to see how tv and entertainment differes from one country to another.

It seems like all three russian channels will be free. RTV, RTV+, and NTVA.

i'm sort of annoyed at the "international" selection that dish has.

Only like 2 channels are actually broadcast from their country of origin; the rest are all just US-based companies who are re-broadcasting really old shows in a "hodge-podge" format. I wasted 10 dollars a month on TV-5 but it wasn't actually coming from France and I coulnd't watch any Parisian based news programs from the "Real" tv5.

what's wrong with just "daisy-chaining" the actual programming itself from the other country's satellites?

According to International Entertainment Guide(580), the free preview is NTV America on Channel 594.

JohnH - that was last weekend (unless they extended it - 594)

However on 594 there is a separate Ad, saying that RTVi and RTVi+ (592 and 593) will be free this coming weekend...

I didn't have NTVA just TV Globo this past weekend. But I did have it last month either the first of second weekend of the year.
