I see "The 101" (DirecTV's locally produced music/variety channel) was magically removed from the FAMILY package with no announcement. I'm not amused.
For $30, their FAMILY package isn't that great anyway, but to remove their locally produced channel (after YEARS of including it) without even so much as an email or paper bill announcement is pretty cheap in my opinion.
Some of us can't afford fancy packages with the economic situation today. (like me) I wonder how many more channels are going to be removed from "FAMILY" without warning in the future? Certainly not the dozens and dozens of shopping/religious channels!

Sorry for your loss, but 101 should probably not have existed in a "family" package anyway, quite a bit of its content is not family-oriented...

I agree, the family pack is for either families with kids or christian conservatives, neither of which is the target audience for the 101 channel.

So now you want Directv to remove your local channels from the Family package?
Again, a lot of material is not family oriented, so now your bashing them for doing something in their sub's best interest. C'mon.:)

The 101 has some of that rock 'n roll music. Rock 'n roll is from the down below and should not be in the family plan

Nope, they're the ones helping to keep the package as cheap as it is, since they pay DirecTV for carriage...
